Fiction or beautiful prose or artistic prose or a little inaccurately beautiful literature (from the French: belles lettres, i.e. beautiful literature) is the common name of prose works of art. They are mainly a novel, a short story, a line, a short story and an artistic report. In the past, the term fiction was used to describe the entire art literature (beautiful literature), today the meaning has narrowed down only to artistic prose. Fiction is one of the basic areas of prose. It is divided into basic prose genres, such as the novel, short story, short story and narrative, and smaller prose units. There are also special types of variants, such as lyricalized prose, rhythmic prose and dialogized prose (eg Platonic dialogue), in which there is a tendency to bring prose closer to other linguistically stylistic types of literature - with poetry and drama.
